Effect of honey creams to treat acne patients referred to Shahreza Amiralmomenin hospital

    Abstract
Honey has wide antimicrobial properties, but it has any adverse effects on body tissues and can treats wounds, skin diseases like acne, and eczema. The purpose of this study was treatment of acne skin with creams containing honey. These treatment of base on honey cream (without Pollen) at levels of, zero (control), 1, 2, and 3%. Each treatment consisted of 6 replicates (total 24 patients). the skin disease patients with clinical acne sings that referred to Shahreza Amiralmomenin hospital had been examined by a dermatologist In 2011. The physician observed the lesions and diagnosed the disease, and its severity was also detected. The patients were randomly assigned for using creams. The creams were used once a day on acne topical. The questionnaires were given to participants to be completed. After 18, 36 and 60 days, the patients recorded acne improvement rate. Duncan's method was used for statistical analysis. Results showed no honey cream (treatment 1) did not cause any
 significant change on improved condition. There were significant differences between treatments 2, 3 and 4 with the control treatment (P<0/05). There was a significant difference between treatment 2  treatments 3 and 4, but the mean duration of treatment (days) was not affected by treatments 3 and 4 (p‹0.05). The cream containing 2% honey had the highest satisfaction rate and causes remission within 12 days, and also improved skin transparency of patients.
